If you are qualified to serve as a juror and cannot claim an exemption from jury service,
you may still have a reasonable excuse not to serve as a juror in Nueces County. Reasonable
excuses are heard at 1:30 P.M. the Friday before your START DATE in the Central Jury Room on
the 1st Floor of the Nueces County Crouthouse. No reasonable excuses will be heard
by the judge(s) on Monday.
If you are impaneled and assigned to a court on Monday, you can address your reasonable excuse
to the judge of the court, and he or she may excuse you from jury service.
The date and time of Reasonable Excuses may change due to holidays or extenuating circumstances.
